With so much happening in the band and all of the shows coming up ,we decided to do a “Quarterly News” vol. 5.5 for 2012. We have been doing our best to bring you the songs you want to hear, provide you with a show that makes your blood pump, sweat roll, with fists and hair flying in the air. We have added some new songs and some new stage props as well (with more planned soon). We are looking at designing a new stage banner too. If there are any creative people out there that know how to use photoshop well, send us your ideas for a new banner. We’d love to see what you come up with.
We want to extend our thanks to Chris Fleury (Cousin Itt) for helping Mike and us out in times of need. We appreciate and love ya man!
Tickets for our show July 3rd at Club Metronome are selling well. We will be letting off some fireworks of our own from 10PM until 2 AM. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $5 at any of our shows leading up to the big night. Please see one of the band members for tickets or contact us via our email firstname.lastname@example.org. Get yours early for guaranteed admission.
Our opening gig for 8084 at Higher Ground is coming fast (June 29th). Limited tickets are available at the Higher Ground box office and website. This is an all ages show. Get your tickets now, as they are going fast. We sold out the 750 seat show last year, so you don’t want to miss this year. See the banner ad on our home page for more information. We want to thank Erin Thibault for accepting the job of our photographer at this gig. We are excited to have her onboard to capture all of the evenings events.
In the meantime we have shows at the ever popular One Federal (St. Albans) on Thursday June 21st 7-11pm, followed with a show at Venue (Colchester) Friday June 22nd 9:30pm -1:30am. This will be our first time returning to both spots since 2011.
Axel and Patrick have launched a great site/tool on facebook called Rock the 802. It’s a place where all musicians, bands and clubs can go to promote, socialize and get information on the local music scene. Check it out on facebook today!
There are some great shows happening around the area too! Stone Bullet is at Gusto’s on June 16th, The Undercover Music Festival at the Sheldon Casino will be rocking with Nightrain and (special guest) again this year July 21st. The Brooke Ostrander Memorial Jam/Concert will also be taking place at the Sheldon Casino on August 18th from 3pm until 12am. Sound for both events provided by AudionX. We can’t for get about our other friends in Pleaseure Dome, Cousin Itt, Ambush (making their return), Barbie N Bones (formerly Alter Ego), Killoton (recording their EP currently), Sand Bilzzard, Mindtrap, Dark Horse and Smokin Gun.
Make a point to get out and see any or all of these bands once this summer. Local music is alive and well. Let’s keep it that way!
